Finally, Christmas is over, New Year's Day is over, even my son's birthday is over!

I'm a little proud of myself, because my fanfiction is running to 130 pages in the moment and there are many more to come... as soon as I manage to overcome my current writer's block.

To cure this 'disease' and vitalize my muse I messed around a bit with photoshop and several pics... damn, I wish I could draw again - but unfortunately I completely neglected this talent until it faded away... not sure if I'll be able to revive it.

I guess my 'works' won't be of any interest for you, because you don't know my OC and most of you don't speak German, but I'll post them nevertheless

Just some notes about my night and morning: snoring husband, sleepless son, crying daughter... baaaaaaaaaaad headache (and that without even a single drop of rum... I wish I had had some) and soooooooooo much to do although feeling knackered and almost ill. Tomorrow is my hubbie's birthday and I have to clean the rooms and windows, bake cake and cookies, prepare a salad, oh, and of course decorate everything for bloody stupid Christmas!

No, I don't feel christmassy! Maybe christmessy, but that's all! Ask me again December 23rd.

My husband has decided to make the whole poster-design for our whore4hector-Christmas-project! I have no idea why, but he does it - just to make us happy! (And I think he is also happy about my - and your? - appreciation)


Yesterday, when writing my fanfic I found out some funny things:

1. A typical Irish given name is "Catherine" - guess what, my OFC is Irish... and her name is Catherine.

2. I thought of Barbossa as being born in Devon and wrote it... then I found this in whore4hector: "It was an interview done at some stage...oh, bugger if I can remember where... it was linked from the Geoffrey Rush comm.
He said 'I suggested Barbossa get the girl and retire rich and happy to Devon' or something like that. Cute!"

3. I also found out (also in whore4hector), that Barbossa's mother was Irish: “Pirates of that age tend to come from England’s West Country, and I decided that Barbossa’s mother was Irish.,” Says Rush, who perfected the pirate’s delicious accent, at once musical and terrifying, with dialect coach Barbara Berkery."

And I found some Irish folk songs, either - without even looking for something like that.

My hubbie is a diamond!

Not only that he accepts my enthusiasm for Barbossa, POTC and Geoffrey Rush, he even HELPS me with my fanfic AND with the new Whore4Hector-Christmas-Project (By the way, apple4b, jurious, how about you? Not interested in the project?)!!!
When I told him about my idea he immediately came up with proposals like: "Put the photos circularly around the Black Pearl." or "We should also write down the countries, not only real names and LJ-names."

I decided to translate and post another extract of my fic. Hope you like it. It's not finished yet, but I love cliffhangers, so here we go.

Background: Catherine wants to leave the Black Pearl, but they don't let her go. They go ashore in Tortuga and Catherine takes her chance to escape... or at least she tries.

Oh, and by the way, the Black Pearl and a big part of the crew has been commandeered by the mutinous (... no, not first mate) ship's doctor.

I will never be able to translate the whole thing, i takes too much time, but I would like to know what you think about this beginning - and about my style.
